WILDER TAPES

For an upcoming TV series, this teaser contains visuals of gritty London set in the 1990s together with a modern and bohemian home.

merjen

The series employs a non-linear narrative that interweaves Merjen's past, where her initial excitement at Bertu's return from overseas is juxtaposed with the subsequent tragedy following the death of her child, marking a profound shift in their relationship. This shift is also mirrored within the series' visuals, where Merjen's vibrant yet impoverished world is contrasted with the grim reality of her abusive relationship.

Before the film was made, the same producers adapted it for the stage. Making my theatrical debut in such an intimate, 360-degree theatre was a daunting task, but I still cherish the multifunctional set pieces and drop-down elements that allowed us to create several locations within such a small space.

MAGDALENE

This original play required numerous locations, but the director envisioned an expressionistic set that focused purely on the play’s themes. The narrative explored womanhood, the light and darkness within each of us, and the possibility of redemption. Light was symbolized by white, while red represented the characters' darker, 'monster' selves. The glass panes on set were not only movable, allowing the actors to rearrange them as needed, but also served as surfaces to write and erase the play’s motto and rearrange it to change it’s meaning.
